Joe and Terri Phelps:
We support the BJC financially because ...
Our church’s recent study of Dietrich Bonheoffer, one of a minority of ministers who resisted the Nazi movement in Germany in the 1930s, was a reminder to us of the dangers of confusing our patriotism with our faith in God. We thank God for the BJC’s efforts to maintain the boundaries that keep church and state separate, cooperative and constructive. BJC makes us proud to be historic Baptists.
Joe, pastor of Highland Baptist Church, and Terri Phelps, an attorney, are long-time BJC supporters.
