Cherilyn Crowe
cherilyn_webCherilyn Crowe, a native of Fort Payne, Ala., is the associate director of communications for the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty. A journalism and mass communications graduate of Samford University, Crowe came to the BJC after spending nearly a decade working in television news at the NewsChannel 5 Network (WTVF-TV) in Nashville, Tenn. She served in a variety of roles at WTVF, including news associate producer, interim weekend producer, and ultimately, senior producer for NewsChannel 5+ programs. Crowe produced a variety of regularly scheduled discussion shows such as "Issues of Faith," "Inside Politics" and "Urban Outlook." She also worked on an array of special projects with the station, such as live trial coverage, political debates, election night results and coverage of the 2008 Belmont Presidential debate. Crowe is a graduate of the Nashville Young Leaders Council and was nominated for the Rising Star award at the 2007 Midsouth Emmys. In May 2009, she graduated from Vanderbilt University with a master's degree in liberal arts and sciences.
