On April 7, 2010, Brent Walker and the member bodies of the Baptist Joint Committee sent this letter to President Barack Obama asking him to implement the recommendations of the President's Advisory Council on Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships.
This joint statement expresses the belief of the Baptist Joint Committee and other supporting signers that government should remain neutral toward religion. Discussion includes religion and politics, religion and public education, and aid to religious institutions.
