Exciting things are happening at the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty!
For more than five years, the BJC has worked to fulfill our vision of a new Center for Religious Liberty on Capitol Hill. The plans are complete, and construction is beginning.
You have a chance to be part of this vital project, if you aren't already. Your support will help secure religious liberty for generations to come. In recognition of your generous financial support by June 30, your name will appear in a special exhibit in the Center. For those who have given previously, you have until June 30 to increase your gift and your recognition level.

The BJC's Center for Religious Liberty will be located across the street from the U.S. Supreme Court and two blocks from the U.S. Capitol.
The Center for Religious Liberty will:
- increase our work capacity as we continue to file briefs in the U.S. Supreme Court and work with Congress and the White House.
- expand our ability to accommodate additional staff and visitors as we increase our education efforts. We will be able to host larger and more frequent groups of students, church members and clergy who visit Washington, D.C.
- balance the needs of staff with the goal of providing visitors meaningful exposure to the work of the organization and our Baptist heritage.
- take advantage of our impressive view of Capitol Hill. The new state-of-the-art conference room will double our meeting space capacity and highlight a southwest corner view of the U.S. Supreme Court building and the U.S. Capitol dome.
- include a 70-inch interactive video screen that will make learning about religious freedom come alive for groups of all ages, including the high school, college and seminary students that visit the BJC office every year.
- provide office space for visiting scholars and advocates.
- feature a gallery highlighting the history of the BJC's 75-plus years defending and extending religious liberty for all.
- enable new and improved resources, curriculum and literature -- in print and online.
We are excited about the future of the Baptist Joint Committee and the Center for Religious Liberty on Capitol Hill. With your participation, we can ensure the Center's success and protect religious liberty for future generations. Your role is essential. Please respond by June 30 and let us recognize your gift in our special donor exhibit.
