Confirmation Hearing Date Set for Sotomayor E-mail

Senate Judiciary chairman Patrick Leahy (D-VT) has announced the Committee will meet Monday, July 13 to consider the nomination of Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court. In his statement explaining the timing of the hearing, Leahy emphasized the schedule is similar to that followed for Chief Justice Robert's confirmation, and argued that there is some urgency in allowing Judge Sotomayor to respond to the "attacks" that have been leveled against her. Should make for a fun summer - stay tuned.
